The Los Angeles based artist, dj, producer, and remixer has unique roots in Puerto Rico and Germany. Born Logan Caraballo to hippie/artist/activist parents and raised in the “off grid” & “back to nature” home they built in the woods of Maine, creativity and an open mind were ever encouraged.
He left home to pursue his degree in computer engineering in Boston. While there he became a participant in the very beginning of the digital file sharing revolution and began to voraciously collect a wide variety of music. This obsession continues to this day. He started to create playlists and soundtrack his local college parties and was then asked to do the same for the neighborhood bar. Upon graduation he eschewed the beaten path and decided instead to serve as a Peace Corps Volunteer in rural Honduras helping bridge the “digital divide”. It was there he first started to experiment with sampling and producing simple hip hop and electronic beats and fell in love with the creative process of music production.
This love for music drew him to Los Angeles and the taste making public radio station KCRW where he spent over a decade presenting shows and helping with live events and on-air production, Logan truly is in it for his lifelong passion of music. He is a true song collector and musical connoisseur who has amassed an impressive and diverse music library including hundreds of original tracks. Having been in the recording room with diverse artists such as DJ Shadow, Little Dragon, Big Wild, Tame Impala and been mentored by KCRW DJ’s Jeremy Sole and Raul Campos he’s now creating his own unique sound and sharing his musical vision and vibe with the world.
His sound, which melds house, techno, tribal, funk and disco ranges from melodic and organic to soulful and sexy, always connecting to the audience while bringing them new places on an emotional and uplifting journey, all while keeping the dance floor full. Whether it’s a downtown LA rooftop or on playa at burning man his music and sets are always meant to connect and inspire.
